OnHub Troubleshooting Page
OnHub Will Not Connect To Internet
Your OnHub wireless router is having issues connecting to the internet.
Ethernet Cable Not Properly Connected
If your device will not connect to the internet, it could be something as simple as a loose connection.
1. Check provided Ethernet cable, a yellow cable, is securely connected to the OnHub’s port (it should fit snug in one of the holes provided.
2. Be sure that your modem is powered on and the other end of the Ethernet cable is connected to one of the modem's holes that is shaped like a square (it should again fit snug)
Modem Not Connected to OnHub
If your device is having trouble connecting to the internet, you most likely need to restart your modem.
To restart your modem, simply unplug the power source and Ethernet cable, usually a yellow cable, from the modem, leaving the OnHub Router connected to the modem.
Next, wait 2-3 minutes to allow the modem to fully power down. Plug the power supply and Ethernet cable back into your modem
Wait another 2-3 minutes and the OnHub Router should connect to the Internet
1. Disconnect the power and Ethernet cable from your cable modem.
2. Wait 2-3 minutes.
3. Reconnect the power and Ethernet cable back to your cable modem.
4. Wait another 2-3 minutes for device to connect to your cable modem.
OnHub Not Shining Light Anymore
You cannot see any light, in the form of a ring, emitting from the top of OnHub.
Defective Light Ring
1. Make sure your power supply is properly connected to the OnHub and an outlet.
2. If that does not work, the ambient light sensor located within the OnHub speaker will need to be replaced. Take a look at our Speaker Replacement Guide !
OnHub Won't Recognize My Phone
Sometimes rebooting or restarting your router can fix connecting issues.
1. Unplug the power cable from the router.
2. Wait approximately 30 seconds for the router to power off completely.
3. Plug the power cable back into the router.
4. Wait 2-3 minutes for the router to turn back on.
No App Installed
You'll need to install the OnHub app on your phone before your phone will be able to recognize it.
Bad Bluetooth Antenna
Bluetooth allows things like phones to connect and be recognized by your OnHub device
The Bluetooth Antenna is located on the motherboard.

My OnHub is Making Noises
Hearing start up noises and purrs while the device is not a cat
OnHub Overheating
The most common source of abnormal noise coming from your OnHub may be due to overheating.
Check the temperature of the device by placing your hand gently on top of the OnHub.
If your hand feels warm or hot to the touch, you probably need to replace your heat sink.
Broken Casing

Broken Speaker Grille

Weak WiFi Connection

Surrounding Metal Objects
Sometimes, devices like OnHub can have a disturbed connection due to other objects close by.
Check to see if there are any Televisions, cell phones, or other electronic devices near the OnHub and move them farther away from the OnHub.
Heat Sink Damaged
The Heat Sink within the OnHub allows WiFi connections to be stronger, even when distant from the OnHub device.
Faulty Motherboard
A motherboard can be damaged by physical shock, such as dropping the router, or by a heat sink malfunction that causes the motherboard to overheat, thus damaging the motherboard. Look for a motherboard online to replace it.
