If you press the buttons on your Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra and they are unresponsive, follow this page for possible solutions.
Residue Buildup Around Buttons
If your Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra controller has external residue preventing the button from fully functioning, follow these steps to clear it out.
- Power the controller down. You can do this by pressing and holding the guide button (with the Xbox logo on it) for six seconds.
- Once the controller is off, pour alcohol onto a cotton swab or Q-tip. Please be sure not to directly pour it onto the controller.
- Use the cotton swab to work around the sticky buttons. Use the swab to get into the cracks and let the alcohol clear out the residue.
- Press each button a few times to work the alcohol through.
- Wait for it to dry, and turn on the controller to test it.
Software Glitches
Often Bluetooth connection issues occur because of glitches with the software of either device in connecting. Sometimes these can happen at no fault of the user. The easiest solution is to perform a factory reset to clear all custom settings.
- Hold the x button until the lights come on.
- Press the plus button on the front of the controller.
- Press the Y button to enter the menu on screen.
- Navigate with the D-pad until you reach the system option in the navigation, select this option with the A button.
- Select "Reset to defaults" with the A button.
- Turn controller back on and try to connect to the console.
If these steps didn't work, move on to the next option.
Faulty Buttons
If your front facing buttons need to be replaced in order to function, follow our replacement guide to change them.
