Short Battery Life
The life of the battery is noticeably getting lower through use.
The battery has not been charged
The Monitor comes equipped with a charging cable. Should the battery start to discharge, see if charging it back up fixes the issue, allowing it to gather a full charge.
Old Battery
Should charging the monitor not amend the issues, the battery itself could be an issue. As full charging cycles eventually drain and kill the battery, the battery will eventually require a replacement. If there is no firmware update or attempts to charge it, it is likely the battery itself is at fault. See our repair guide on replacing the battery, to help amend the issue.
Old Firmware
As the machine's embedded system code interfaces with the hardware, firmware typically requires consistent updates using the product. Not updating this can lead to diminished user experience, and issues like a drop in battery life. As firmware is handled by the product company, please see Anker’s website and their corresponding guides to amend the issue.
Video Won’t Display
When recording there is no image being displayed on the monitor
Damaged Lens
Check to see if there are any cracks or scratches on the lens of the item. A crack/scratch could indicate more internal damage, or it could itself be obscuring the view from the camera. If it is damaged you'll need to replace the lens.
Camera is off
The camera option could be turned off. Go into settings on your monitoring device and check if the camera pairing setting is turned on, if so you should check the actual hardware on the camera to see if its switch is in the on position.
No internet connection
There needs to be a wireless connection between the monitor and the camera. If this connection has been impaired or could not be made for any other reason, the image will fail to display. To fix this go into settings on your monitor device and check to see if it is currently connected to your network and that it is paired with your camera device.
Unexpected Loss Of Signal
Baby monitors lose signal very easily
Thickness Of Walls
Generally, the transmission distance of the monitor is 460ft. If there are several walls between the monitor and the camera it may affect the connection strength and interfere with the signal.
Objects Inside The House
It is recommended to remove electronic devices in the house that could cause signal interference between both the camera and monitor. These objects could be anything from Bluetooth devices to phones, and stereos.
Outdated Firmware
The firmware for your baby monitor may be outdated so it is recommended to update it to the latest version. Make sure to connect both the monitor and camera for the latest firmware update.
Loose Charging Port
The charging cable doesn't fit snuggly into the charger, causing unreliable charging
Damaged Cable
Over time, repeated use of the cable will eventually wear down the cable, making the connector match its port less seamlessly. As cables are replaceable, an easy fix is to replace the cable.
Damaged Port
Due to similar wear and tear, or aggressive plugging in, the internal connector can be damaged when care is not taken to prevent it. To fix this, please see our attached guide on the repair!
Dirty Charging Port
Similarly to a damaged port, dust and other dirt can accumulate in the charging port, causing the cable not to fit as snugly as it once did. To fix this, please see our attached guide!
Disruptive Noise from Monitor
When using the Eufy Security SpaceView Monitor, you're experiencing disruptive noise.
Interference from Nearby Devices
Disruptive noise can occur if there are other electronic devices nearby causing interference. Move any potential sources of interference away from the monitor and improve the signal quality.
Low Battery
The camera unit may be running on low battery, affecting the signal quality and causing disruptive noise. Ensure that the unit is adequately charged or replace the battery if necessary. Refer to the Eufy Security SpaceView Monitor Battery Replacement guide for assistance.
Monitor Volume Settings
Disruptive noise may result from incorrect volume settings on the monitor. Adjust the volume settings on the monitor to ensure they are at an appropriate level and not causing distortion.
