My brand new lg g2 d805 displays a frame in the same format of the smartphone itself with perfect symmetry inside the screen, it is like brightness is always stronger in the frame lines region. It is only perfectly noticeable on dark grey background or in the background displayed when you press and hold the home key. It is the most visible in the charging screen before brightness is automatically reduced. In a dark ambient the inside of the frame also gets filled showing to be lighter than the outside. I already returned the phone 3 times and all of them have reissue I've had a of g2 before and never noticed it.
