Replaced battery and now all apps have stopped working.

I put a new battery in a Motorola Droid Maxx. It powers on and then starts going through a series of messages stating that different apps are not functional now and keeps going through all of them. I put it on the charger and the battery symbol came up with a question mark in the middle and will not charge. The battery I put in is an interstate battery is there any chance that this device is not compatible with this brand of battery? Or has anyone else run into this situation?

I put a new battery in a Motorola Droid Maxx. It powers on and then starts going through a series of messages stating that different apps are not functional now and keeps going through all of them. It was not doing it before I put the new battery in so it must be something I did. I went back through and checked all connectors and reconnected them. No signs of any physical damage. I tried the hard start procedure and it will not reboot. Has anyone ever run into anything like this?
