Like the title says, I replaced the battery of my Acer Spin 5, with a new, original one.
-
But the new one was not really recognized, the battery LED was just flashing orange instead of just shining. I thought, Ok, maybe thats the way it is for a fresh new one,
-
but it just flashes (for hours) and at some point just stops flashing.
-
But it is not charged at all.

The Laptop itself is working fine - as long as the power is plugged in. And he recognizes the battery with 0% charge. And that never changes.
There is also a battery reset button, which I pressed for 1 second, 2, 4 (which should be the right number), 10, 20 seconds ... with no success.
So I replaced it back to my old battery - which is indeed charging and the OS gives me accurate numbers - but he also can't use the battery anymore - meaning nothing works without plugged in powercable.
As a last hope I allready removed the cmos battery ... with no success.
Does anyone has an idea what else I could do, besides sending it to Acer?
So it is just blinking (for hours) and at some point just stops flashing.

The new one simply never was recognized at all. All I got was a orange flashing light from the battery diode, which should be just orange - for charging.
