I would venture to say that your laptop has 1 gig or more of ram and that your operating system is XP. If such is the case please remove some RAM so that you have less than 1 gig of RAM, like 512. Then try booting your computer. There is a Hotfix for this problem: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=909095 If this doesn't work please let me know.
