I had the same problem, no solution from the internets worked. What I did was to start my computer with Ubuntu to check if the hardware was OK, which it was. Then back to Windows 10 and the speakers were working again,[br]
Apparently, Windows skiped to comunicate to the speakers to put them on “working mode”, but saved somewere in its memory that it has, so no matter what I did, Windows continued to “think”: I already told the speakers to work ,so they should be ready to work. And no matter what reinstalation, update or restart you do, Windows didn´t bother to comunicate with the hardware again to check if indeed it was in working mode. Ubuntu did it as soon I started with it, and left the hardware on that state, so when I went back to Windows it was properly set.[br]
