My Kitchenaid Pro 600 mixer plugged accidentally to 220V

Hi,

i recently bought Kitchenaid Pro 600 mixer from the US and didnt now that electronics from US still use 120V only. so i plugged it to the power outlet and  short circuit happened. then i realized that it is 120V .

What could have happened ?  is there a way fix it ?
