Tablet that boots dead android (actual device not available in menu)

I have an Asus Transformer AiO 18….something, it’s not listed in the device option menu. It has a 18” android tablet, which has died. It works when I attach it to the base station to use as a monitor in Windows, but removing the tablet from the base station causes it to stop. When it boots up, it gives a picture of the Android robot character dead. [br]
Is there anyway to repair the Android system on the tablet?
