How to dismantle Philips HD9340 Kettle lid to replace the spring

Hi,

Our 10 year old kettle, that otherwise is in pristine condition, stopped opening. We have read that replacing the release spring might be the solution but we can't find video/photos on how to dissasemble and we don't want to ruin it! Any leads appreciated
