The backplate is shut, and I can't perform maintenance.

Hello,[br]
I have a problem with the laptop overheating causing frequent crashing by the laptop attempting to throttle the CPU.[br]
I want to take the plastic backing of so I can access the fan and such for cleaning in the hopes that the machine will perform slightly better, but unscrewing does nothing to get it off, it seems to be glued in place and I was wondering if anyone here knows of a way I can perform maintenance on my machine without permanently damaging it in the process.
