Replaced battery on vita, still won't turn on

My vita only showed a charging light but never booted, so when I bought a replacement battery I thought it would fix it, but when I installed the new one there was no charging light, and when I swap in the old one, it lights up, is there any fix for this? I've looked online, but nobody has the same issue.
