Is their a plan to get a scroll wheel replacement available?

One of the most common complaints and "failure" points of this mouse is the rubber like material on the scroll wheel deteriorating.   Are their plans to make an official replacement part for this available to extend the life of our mice?   Maybe even redesigned like the 3/3s with no rubber?
