My sister has a HTC Desire X phone.

It has a crack in the top screen only. The display itself is not damaged.
Can i replace the top screen. Where can i buy the parts?

You will need an lcd separator machine to separate the lcd from the glass as they are glued together and it needs to be put on a special hot plate. Tutorial and lcd separator machine reviews can be found at www.lcdseparatormachines.com if your interested..

Be carefull! Hade the same problem with my sisters phone. I first tried to replace the Digitizer Glas, but its full glued on the LCD screen when I tried to seperate both the LCD broke. You have to replace the whole display unit. I bought them from ebay. Didn't find it on ebay.com but on the german site. It's about 90€

i needed a new glass for mine which is a htc desire 310 and found my glass on ebay it's coming form hong kong
hi, yes be careful , Bernhard is right the digitizer glass is stuck glued with the lcd screen and it broke with me as well so i needed to change the whole display unit. i found it on ebay and it's cheap :

Hello, yes, I have bought 2 lcd+touch non original ( but with the HTC logo) and they works fine. The point is to glue properly the piece to the phone, because sometimes it comes out.
how to stick the digitizer to the display\front pannel

mine is not sticking
i cleaned it with glass spray also

what you have to do is heat the screen up with a hair drier or hot blower and then remove the screen
