water in HTC one, cant charge and water spots on the screen?

I dropped my phone in the water ,and it works perfectly fine. However, the screen got the water spots and couldn't charge anymore. How much fixing the phone can approximately cost? I tried using the rice only after a while it dropped. But I always open the bag and see if it works again. Now I am thinking just to leave the phone for like several days without even touching it. I am just wondering if I fix it with a professional, how much would it b cost?

AliceK, not sure what it would cost you to repair through a service, since this will depend on where you live. The longer you will leave it untouched, the greater the risk of corrosion damage. Rice does not do anything to prevent this, not does it fix your phone. You will have to disassemble your phone and clean everything with high grade isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush. After that, use these guides to repair your display assembly as well as your battery. So are the two parts that I am certain you will need to replace. After that, re-evaluate for any further damage. Thank you so much for your answer. But I heard HTC one is hard to disassemble and put it back together. That's why I wanted to know whether it can be possible to put everything back together. Now the phone is charging well though. But I can still see the water spots on the screen and on the camera lens.

It is a bit tough, but can be done:-) Some of the water spots might be resolved by cleaning the LCD with isopropyl alcohol. Thank you for accepting my answer.
