How do you keep Ceramic Knives sharp
I bought some ceramic knives when I had my steel one sharpened. Loved them—for say 6 months. Then—well, steel knives I sharpen with the steel, and then have them ground. With ceramics—sharpening professionally is $$$$.

Contrary to prior answers, ceramic knives do need to be sharpened as they do get dull. It's a common misconception with ceramic knives that they never need to be sharpened or (almost) never get dull. The main advantage that ceramic knives have over steel knives is that they don't need to be sharpened as often. And depending on usage, you may be able to go months or years without sharpening a ceramic knife. Over time the ceramic blade develops small chips that makes the edge dull. You can find a professional knife sharpener that has a powered diamond wheel or you can buy a diamond wheel sharpener for ceramic knives. There's 2 options on the market now, both are powered diamond wheel sharpeners (only use diamond wheels to sharpen your ceramic blade):

how about just buying a new knife, jeez/// they are inexpensive compared to "real" knives, e.g. Henckles....I know we live in a "throw-a-way" world, but the sharpness level on my ceramics is insurmountable compared to everything

It's the biggest problem of ceramic knives, besides that you are better not to drop it on the floor. Why not buy a normal steel knife https://thecozyholic.com/best-boning-kni.... There are very beautiful pieces.
