Hard wire ethernet connection not recognized
When I plug the patch 5e cat5 cable to the unit I got no connection at all and the apple tv doesn't see the hard wire connection.But I can go wireless.Please help

Check System Preferences->Network to verify that Ethernet service has been added (enabled).
You can also verify the system sees it (port is working) from Applications->Utilities-> System Information:Network.
Check that the cable is snapped in at both ends, and that the cable is not damage by using another device if possible.

Same issue. A 1469. No light on the switch channel and only works on wifi. It is not the cable or the switch.
Been this way since it was new and I have current FW. These are not quality products and suspect the LAN ports on many of these come pre-broke. Settings say no Lan connected.
