My navigation buttons stopped working, especially the left one, so that I can't get of applications I entered into.

The problem is not entirelys systematic, sometimes it works.

It's present for the three buttons leading me to think it's maybe an OS overload problem.

The other two buttons work slightly better.

I suppose it's more likely caused by the hardware problem. Maybe the buttons flex cable didn't connect well.
