Screen and lid separating
The lid and screen have separated on the left side close to the hinge, making closing impossible. Probably caused by trying to open it too far, any suggestions?

a picture of the damage would be good, but i would say that getting the defective parts on ebay and replacing them would be the best idea

Take off the screen bezel,tighten the screws under there and that sometimes helps
If the screws are tight there,open up the computer and get to the hinges inside

on the bottom left is the images tab, click on it, choose upload, then choose the file and upload it. click on edit in your original question and then drag the picture into that field and drop it - submit the changes and it should be there ;-)
