touch screen doesn't work
Device turns on but I cannot get past the first screen. Light touch, heavy touch, attempting to drag doesn't do it.

rachel, possibly a bad digitizer. Try to reset your device, to do this, press and hold the On/Off button for 30 seconds and release the button when your device begins to restart. Should that fail, replace the digitizer. Here is a video that shows the display repair, and here how to solder the digitizer if you do it separately. Hope this helps, good luck.

thanks. I tried press and hold and that didn't work. Will look into a new digitizer. Any idea about the cost?
looks like around $10 for the digitizer and $40 for the complete LCD and digitizer.
