It can be better to buy the new one than to fix the old lamp. A lamp usually does not cost much, this is a device that doesn't work long time. I noticed that they don't serve more than one year. Usually I pay for a good lamp no more than 20-30 dollars so, it is normal that they do not last long. I don't dispute that there may be lamps on the market that can last longer but I have not yet been able to find one. Although, a year ago I bought not exactly lamps, these were the camping lanterns.
