How to get back the IMEI

My LG Optimus G has lost the IMEI after dropping from the chair. The IMEI in My Phone Identity menu said "Unknown" and so did the IMEI SV. The networking is normal, I can access the internet but I cannot have the phone call although the phone has simcard and memory card. My floor is made of ceramic. What can I do to repair my phone.

A repair shop told me that the hardware is the cause, not the software. But they don't have this kind of hardware.

If the hardware is the cause, could you please let me know what is it, what is the product code, eg, so that I can identify it and buy it online.

It is not a hardware fault. IMEI is a file in root. use imei writing tool and write the original imei.

Try below steps,

In the dialer , type- *#197328640# or *#*#197328640#*#*

>You will be prompt into the Command mode, On the screen provided , Select on Common , normally option 6

> Now Select (FTM) Option 1

>FTM is for debugging and testing .,(Field Test Mode)

>If (FTM) is on, you will have to turn this OFF

>As soon as your turned this off your NULL or altered IMEI number will be restored

I've never heard of something like that happening. Are you able to put in the IMEI manually? The IMEI and other numbers may be written near or under the battery. Have you tried a Factory reset?

Check if your Baseband is not Unknown,restoring IMEI is easy.

If Baseband is Unknown then you will need nvram from working phone (same model).After you get Baseband root your phone and use "MTKdroidTools"
