Hello
I have rather clumsily managed to break the copper grounding tape which is on both iphone 5S and C models.
This appears to cause a bit of ghost touching on the digitizer.
Has anyone any ideas about how to repair this, or where I might get a replacement part from?

I don't think the broken tape would cause that. I have a 5s on the bench right now with broken shield tape and no ghosting at all. Check to make sure your connector is properly seated or you may have a faulty replacement part.

I agree with Brian. I have repaired many a Iphone 5S frontcamera ect, flex that did not have the copper tape with no problems.

I have found ghost touching can be caused by defective digitiser try a different display assembly it may just do the trick.

ok great I will have a look and let you know. Some people say that the tape is for heat distribution and others say it is a grounding tape..
