Laptop will not stay started
When I hit the power button it stays on for about 3 or 4 seconds then goes right back out.

Oh, this is bad bro, really bad. This happened to my Dell inspiron, had to wipe the harddrive. Good luck

Same here. Various combinations of holding the reset button (bottom) in and applying the charger, or holding ESC and REFRESH while tapping the power button, fail to bring it back as they did previously.
I'm trying a disconnection of the battery for a few hours to see if that will do it.
