Why won't my hero4 charge?

Hi,

First disconnect the charging cable then remove and then reinsert the battery, reconnect the charging cable, (make sure that it is connected to a power source) and see if it starts to charge.

If not try the following:

If you are you using a wall charger/power adapter, ensure that the power outlet is working by plugging in another appliance e.g a hair dryer, to see if it works.

If the outlet is OK try using a different cable with your charger. If still no good your charger may be faulty, try charging from a PC via a USB cable. If that works your charger is faulty.

If you are using a PC to charge via a USB cable try another cable or USB port on your PC or try your wall charger/power adapter. (Output DC 5V 1A(1000mA)

If still not charging with either method the charging circuit in the camera or the battery is faulty. Check your warranty details if still valid contact the manufacturer.
