How to replace faulty pop up flash
Pop up flash on my sony nex 6 pops up but no longer fires, and is faulty. Where can I get a replacement and how difficult is the task of replacing it?

Parts can be found on eBay but the question is if the mode and control dial still work? Why I ask is that there are sensors on the mode/control dial assembly that reports if the flash is down or up. Recently I broke part of the assembly which now my camera is stuck in manual and the flash won’t fire.

I was able to fix the dial assembly and now the camera works as well as the flash works once more.
