Is my tablet screen broken?

When viewing mainly blues and oranges on my tablet, there are thin lines of lighter colour going across the display, about half a mm apart. These look quite unsightly, even when viewing 20 to 30cm away. Please have a look at the image - I've circle around an example. I wonder if I am seeing the pixels - they just seem too visible. Has anybody else come accross this on a tablet?

I'm running android 5.01 and have tried a hard reset.

Yeah i see it have you tried using a different app to view pictures dose it make a difference?

Hopefully its just a dodgy decoder (software) on a app.

No. Its is displaying this with everything, even the homescreen, boot screen etc... I have tried a hard reset but nothing...

Arg doesn't sound good um... you could try cleaning the connection to the screen may help, how do you feel about pulling your device apart?

Also how old is it? Do you still have warranty?

It's under warrenty. If it is broken, I'll just have to claim on that...
