My screen keeps going blank
Hi the screen keeps going blank randomly and when this happens the phone generally stays responsive when turned. What is the cause of this and is there any way to fix this

My screen is totally black, without any thing on display.
It was on ond off occasionally.
When I hit the outer case of the phone, only slightly on my desk, the screen switched off to blank.
Hitting it again, the screen showed the icons.
