I forgot my password

Power on and once you see read forever press and hold power button until it offers off. Repeat this 8 times and the nook will clear and reset to factory image them go into settings and factory reset

I tried this and it did not work---was on phone with support for 1 1/2 hours could not help me either---

kimberly, how can i reset my nook u , 3rd link gives clear instruction on how to do factory fall back, just make sure nook is plugged in when doing fall back. Check the attached links,instruction and guides, Good luck.
