Looking with a microscope there is an S on it

@giamma that is reference designator Q6910. It is a NTUD3127CXXG small signal MOSFET in a SOT-963 package.It is part of the 1 Wire overvoltage protection circuit

It's the display data cable bracket. See step #10 of this guide: MacBook Unibody Model A1278 Display Assembly Replacement

Ummm.....what? I don't think that's the bracket. It's a 6-pin smc component.
@gigabit87898 You are correct, I missed the part about being circled in green. Feel free to give him an answer ;-)
(This is a total guess) but it probably something to do with the Ethernet or display. It is right next to the Ethernet chip, but it is still close to the display too.
@gigabit87898 Let's ask why he thinks that spot on the logic board is defective because I have no idea and don't usually look at logic boards that closely.
