@tree422 1998 gmc sierra drain plug on radiator, location is driver side radiator tank, very low on tank almost at bottom, plastic 1/4 turn butterfly drain plug to be loosened to drain coolant. Word of warning, sometimes better to ease off/ loosen lower rad hose and drain rad/coolant this way, some drain plugs (being plastic and old break very easy, leaving half stuck in radiator tank). Only service cooling system when cool.
Video link below will show how to access Rad. drain plug from under vehicle. Good luck.
I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.

Which way do I turn the drain plug
Perfect the location is accurate
Could have mentioned it takes the strength of a thousand gorillas to get it to turn lol
1000 Gorillas?!? Great, LOL I can already tell this is going to create another problem.
Frank. Lefty loosely, righty tightly. Though you probably found a gorilla to help with it by now.

It depends on the radiator but mostly it is on the bottom either on the passenger side and it will be a wing nut screw

I have a 2005 GMC Envoy XUV. It does not have a coolant drain plug. You just have to remove the bottom hose. The repair manual I have says to do just that. Many previous vehicles had a wingnut drain plug or a 1" or so flat plastic plug for witch I made a tool by sawing a slot in the end of a wooden dowel. Easy to do and provided a much better grip with no risk of breaking the plug. Sorry, not a specific answer but do not be surprised if there is no coolant drain plug.
