Hard disk password locked
Hi Everyone,
I got a laptop from a friend of mine and it's hard disk is password locked and she doesn't remember it anymore. Is there anyway to unlock it.

Last time I saw this all I needed to do was reset the bios, by pulling the battery out and the back up battery thats on the board and that resets the bios removing any passwords. It may work for you but depends on where the password is stored. It's worth a go anyway. Good luck.
