Had a problem this past weekend my daughter buggered off and something happened in those 2 days . She's grounded and the ipod is now mine the only way to find out what happened is to wait..... or get into this iPod. I don't want to factory reset and need to bypass the lock screen

Basically what you're trying to get is data. Without the passlock, you'll never get in. Even if you restore it, you'll need the email and password. You can try some combos, but the device will lock you out for a period of time. The time will continue to increase after each false answer. If you can't figure it out, or get her to tell you, you're never getting in. Might wanna try the carrot, before the stick

Where there is a will there is a way look up password bypass systems on youtube. These people are lame and its also apparent they dont have children..

Though you have completely no right to do this, and I suggest that you possibly parent your child a little better so if she does wander off or what ever, she is willing to talk to you. anyways yes there is a pretty simple way around this for the people who have real reasons. I haven't done it in a while. but look into resetting apple product passwords using itunes on a laptop as that is the way i did it in the past, and also have replaced the operating system back to stock when i had developer ios 11 on a ipod touch 6th gen... oh my gosh that was horrible. long answer short. most of your ios device bugs can be fixed in itunes.
