Tablet shuts down while playing games. Tablet also will not open games app. - just closes automatically. Comes up with a box that says Thermal Shutdown. Thermal critical error occurred.

Your tablet is overheating.
If your tablet is in case, try taking it out. I have the same tablet and it tends to get hot and shut down.
Also, try some type of cooling pad or something that will allow air to get to the underside . That should help remove any build up of heat around it.
If it is heating up right after starting up, then you may have some internal problems. You might want to look into having someone look at it or finding a new tablet.
