will not turn on

When mine would not turn on, it was because I had lost electric power at the plug when the kitchen plug group's GFI tripped. (GFI = ground fault interrupter, a safety device required in all electric circuits within six feet at water, such as kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry sinks.) Press the GFI reset button and the power should work again UNLESS the dangerous electrical ground is still there.
