game connection problems on my console
i get connection for around 10 to 15 seconds, then lose it for 10 to 15 seconds. This repeats itself. the connection does not stay.

Try cleaning the cable's connectors or bending it at an angle. You may need a new cable. The problem may also be the cartrage connector or game cartrage neeeds cleaning. Use Isopropyl Alcohol or even better Windex (Ammonia free is safer).

Do I need a Mattel R/F switch? I don't have one because it quit working but my NES R/F switch formerly worked with this game machine.
I tried using various channels that are not broadcasting to get my console to operate. This did not work.

What do you mean by "game connection" ? Is the cartridge loading, then it stops working after 10-15s? Or do you mean the picture, as in the game is still running but you can't see an image?
