How do I reset my password?

Are you looking to change the password associated with the Google accounted synced with the device, or the numeric password used to unlock/open the device to access the devices content?

If you can not unlock/access the device, you likely need your passcode changed. If this is the case, there is not much you can do except factory reseting the device and ultimately losing your personal data. Manufactures implement these passcode features to protect your data from intruders which can result in unfortunate consequences for the owner if they forget their password. You can factory reset without unlocking your devices by following these instructions from HowToGeeks website: "Hold down the Power button and tap Volume Up. You'll see the Android system recovery menu appear at the top of your screen. Select wipe data / factory reset with the volume keys and tap the Power button to activate it.
