Need a laptop expert!

I've been using my laptop for over 3 years now, and I have never had any issues with it in terms of performance. However, recently I had to do some simple video editing with premier pro which slowed down my laptop during the edits. I thought the lag was just because I was running the program but it didn't go away after im done with the project. Now my laptop is super slow! Every thing I do has a 2-4sec delay and I can't even scroll smoothly now.

Help please!

You may be running out disk space. To check this, open File Explorer, click on PC and you should see the hard drive and it should show amount of free space. If the indicator bar is red then it means you are running out of disk space. Windows also keeps virtual memory on the drive, it writes and reads information there to help improve the performance of your operating system. The delays you experience are consistent with virtual memory swapping on a full disk. If this is the case for you, then you can right click on the hard drive and select disk clean up.

Thank you for the answer! But it was so slow before you came to the rescue, so I reset my laptop and now its back to zero haha. Problem solved but now I'll have to download my applications back again oh well..
