Analog problem xbox 360 controller

Okay, so my analog stick has a drift not to the left but up. However it will register every other detection just fine so long as it's moving forward. The stick itself while in it's normal position moves forward in games, but outside of games doesn't work, and doesn't seem to be loose or have a snap back issue. plz help..
