Why it won't charge anymore?
It won't charge anymore. I have tried other wires. My iPhone charges. So I know it's the charging port.

I would suspect that the iPod's battery is dead seeing as how this unit is probably 5 years old. iFixit doesn't sell the battery but a quick Google search should point you in the right direction. I would follow this guide for the replacement. Keep in mind that the battery is soldered in place so it will require some soldering skills to complete the repair.

I read somewhere to look inside the charging port to see if it's dirty. I poked in a toothpick, and a piece of lint came out. Problem solved!

That's exactly what was the issue with mine! There was something in there. I put a toothpick in there and worked it out. Thanks for the tip!
I just fixed mine doing the same thing! There was a piece of lint or something in there!
