Z3 Compact not working after baterry replacement

I have recently have had a problem with my Xperia Z3c. I replaced the battery(without damaging any components).After i booted the phone up it worked fine for a few minutes and then the screen glitches out and the phone would not turn back on, only red light.I have tried removing the battery and place it back but nothing seems to work. I am wondering if it is a faulty battery or another issue?
