I did the same thing with Keurig classic ( using in UK), loud pop, flash of light near the base. I tripped the power in my house. I tried again, as I thought it was my plug converter and this time is made a crackling sound, I immediately turned off the power on plug socket off.

I’ve bought a step down converter hoping I haven’t fried this. If I have does anyone have any clear instructions on how to repair what to look for as last response was a bit vague.

I have this same problem.

@juanruben5 it is possible that you "fried" the circuit boards or just components on it. you would have to give us your models number and start taking yours apart. Look at the components to see if you have any obvious damaged ones. Post some images of your damaged board etc. with your question. that way we can see what you see. It has a burn out power transformer, there's no fuse inside that transformer, carefully dismantle your Keurig , replace that small step down transformer 110v -14.5-0.45amp. that's it.

Sadly the cost and effort to get it fixed wont be worth your time and effort. I burned through 2 units. For the second one i even bought a step down converter and it still popped. Both units went into the bin…shame really, I called so many stores and all worked out too expensive. The reality is that its just not built for that voltage and you would have to modify this heavily and it still wouldnt last.
