Hi,
I have samsung UA55ES8000 tv and it was suddenly stop working. Cuz no backlight & no picture but sound still working. When i disconnect the LVDS cabel from T-CON board then backlight turns on.why is that? Please answer me
this is what i have done before it went black screen

Dulan Wijesundara check your power board for bad capacitors and check the fuse on your T-con board. A failed T-con board can be a cause for a non-working screen. Post some images of all your boards with your question so we can see what you see. Use this guide 기존 질문에 이미지 추가하기 for that.
Okay so since you do have the backlight that means your panel and your power board are most likely ok. That leaves you with possibility of a bad T-con board as well as a bad main board. Do you have a multimeter that you can use? Can you check the fuse on the T-con board and see if it has continuity and/or power?

Dear Sir,
thanks for your reply, i have added all three boards pictures before my comment. actually TV was works fine before with some vertical lines. so i was remove the back cover & T-CON board then try to connect the T-CON Board left side socket with LCD panel right side ribbon cable to check the vertical lines fix or not but then tv power on it goes to black ,no backlight with sound works. that was happen. please help me.

Yes, still same thing.. when the LVDS Cable disconnet then backlight turns on.. and i did panel ribbons also disconnected. Nothing happent. Backlight turns on. Why is that?
When you have it all connected properly, does your onboard menu still show up?
no its not display anything with it. no backlight & no picture..

This occurs when the Closed Captioning is set to Text. Turn off the closed Captioning or select some other mode. Sometimes there is a button on the remote control with an icon on it that looks like two letter C’s in a box that does this. If not, you have to go into the TV’s menu and look in the Settings or Audio menu to figure out how to change the Closed Captioning settings.

I'm having problem with 60 inch Hisense t.v. I replaced the t- con board an still have no pic or sometimes just scribble lines going through pic. What else could it be. I was going too.order the power circuit board but I dont c what has too do with pic. Any one can help me please. thank u

I have replaced the deffictive backlight strips on I find the light on the screen and sound only how can I get the picture kindly help.
I also replaced the ribbon cable from T con board to the pannel

yes.. it was T-CON board issue. i replace the T-CON board.

TVs only have one tcon board. The tcon board is the board that connects to the screen.
Depending on your model it may look like the one above with the red and yellow arrows on it showing the cables that connect to the screen.
Usually you can tell which one the tcon board is because the mainboard connects to it and it connects to the screen i.e. mainboard > cable > tcon board> cable(s) > screen

Had 2 vertical lines. Replaced with a new T-Con board. Restyle…No picture but had sound. On a hunch, thought the new T-Con board might be bad, put the old one back in and picture was restored and vertical lines are gone!
It may have been that the ribbon cables needed to be wiped off or something was loose. TV is working fine and it beats having to purchase a new one$$$
