fridge /freezer stop working

I have a Maytag fridge/freezer in my garage. its about 8 years old. they freezer doesn't freeze and the fridge isn't working either. cleaned the vent and air blowed all the dust out. but still doesn't work. any suggestion. The light comes on and that's about it.
