Says Memory Card Error
It says on my camera “memory card error”, we bought a new memory card and I don’t understand why it keeps saying hat. I tried to follow directions on YouTube on how to fix it but it’s not working, any tips?

A lot of older Canon cameras have problems with SDXC cards due to the lack of exFAT support. This isn’t a problem in your case since your camera is SDHC compatible, so you can still find memory cards without too much trouble.
HOWEVER, this will gradually become an issue as SDXC cards become more common as the cameras that support them replace the old ones that don’t. Do not assume something will work unofficially with Canon; it probably won’t. They program their firmware to be super strict and won't let you play Russian roulette at the bare minimum with a noncritical test. This is why my baseline with Canon on the DSLR side is the T3/i, or the cameras from the time the T3 came out for P&S. SDXC is known to work, anything older tends to be HC or obsoleted because the cards aren't available outside of sites like eBay at inflated prices.
The first thing I’d check is what your camera supports vs the card you purchased. It’s possible you bought an SDXC card and you’re now finding out your camera outright lacks the ability to even try and use these cards. As a general rule with Canon, they do not leave unofficially supported features in their camera so the odds of support being found on many of the older cameras is very unlikely; anything not listed is done at your own risk. You will need to find a camera with proper SDXC support to use this card if you do not want to return it or put it in the package and hold onto it.

So this means that again my cameras' are obsolete. I am sick and tired of technology pricing me out of the market.
@sharondevoll SDHC cards still work on a lot of these 2008+ cameras, maybe some 2006-2007. Those are the modern replacement, not finding non-HC. 2005 and older are known to be cursed and refuse ANYTHING NEWER then Non-HC.
Blame the camera firmware!!! The cards have to be formatted in exFAT unless you can force FAT32 on a 64GB+ card (works, but not recommended due to the inefficient nature of FAT32 beyond 32GB; FAT32 is a compatibility layer now). 2005 and older are due to the SD card controllers not supporting it.
