Issues with Reassembly; Lid Not Closing Easily

A friend had me take her MacBook Pro apart to clean the left fan (following the directions here on the site) and everything went well. However, when I took the top enclosure off, the thin metal brakets lining the underside of it bent and seperated in a couple of places. Most notably was where the lid "latches." After I put the screws back in I noticed that the lid wasn't closing easily (sometimes it wouldn't close at all unless you held it down for a moment) and it concerned me. She took it home and called me this morning (48 hours later) and said she is still having issues with the lid closing. I have tried every search I can think of and haven't been able to locate anything that addresses our issues. I can post photos if it would help, but I'm just at a loss. Any and all help, ideas, and/or comments would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the quick response Mayer. I looked at the issue you linked, and (unfortunately) this is not the same issue I'm dealing with here. I have contacted the owner of the MacBook Pro and she is going to send me pics of the problem area. I will post as soon as I get them. Until such time, I just wanted to clarify that the problem area is above the lid release at the front of the enclosure. As I mentioned, I will post pics once I get them. Thanks again!

옵션

The screws in the battery compartement are slightly shorter than the ones on the back of the machine. Mixing them up can cause closing problems. As for the bent "latch": you can only try to bent it back as far as possible. It is good for the stability of the frontside to have all the clips over the optical drive properly engaged. Good video guide here.
