Making my Chromecast longer?

Hey,

Is it possible to cut the HDMI cable from my chromecast, and make it longer? (4/5 Meters)?

u will loooooose quality with longer cable. consider that

With HDMI, you have about 50 ft to play with before you start dealing with dropouts or artifacts since it's a digital signal. 4 to 5 meters (~13-16 feet) won't have any impact on signal quality as specified.

Hi Sander,

You can buy HDMI extender cables, such as this one. That way you don't need to cut or modify the Chromecast, risking damaging it.
