Screen obstructs proximity sensor.

Hello.

I've been trying to repair my Moto X2 (replaced the screen) but I came to the problem that the new screen gets in the way of the proximity sensor, so it is always detecting something nearby (and causing a lot of trouble with hanging phone calls, and WhatsApp audio messages).

I figured I'd clear up a bit more space on the area where the sensor is, but it didn't have any effect.

Any recommendations about what can I do?
