USB Not Recognizing the device (my book)

I have not been using my hard drive for almost a year because I left it at home while I had deployed and now that I want to use it for the pictures I have on there , it is not working. Saying the “USB device not recognize. The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it.”

If you have another desktop PC, what I can suggest you is to remove HDD inside this and connect it to another free sata port.

keeping finger cross and hope it can be detected on your desktop pc

Make sure you have correct drivers installed, and make sure that the wire is in compatible/properly working. Let me know if this helps!
